MOPH confirms 207 COVID-19 cases and 211 recoveries on Oct 11 in Qatar

Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today recorded 207 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 211 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 124,978. 

Out of the 207 new cases, 195 are community cases and 12 from travelers returning from abroad.

The Ministry also announced one death - aged 84 - who was receiving the necessary medical care.

All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.
The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 127,985 and there are 2,787 active cases under treatment. So far, 220 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar.

Ministry conducted 6,430 tests in the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 831,941 tests. There 43 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total patients in the hospital to 384.

Eight patients was admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 56.


While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:

- Adherence to physical distancing.

- Avoid?close contact with others,?crowded places, and confined closed spaces where other people congregate.

- Wearing a face mask.

- Washing hands regularly
