MOPH confirms 250 COVID-19 cases and 267 recoveries on Oct 28 in Qatar

Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today recorded 250 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 267 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 128,884. 

Out of the 250 new cases, 212 are community cases and 38 from travelers returning from abroad.

All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.

So far, 230 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar.

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 131,939 and there are 2,825 active cases under treatment. 

Ministry conducted 10,044 tests in the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 960,075 tests.

There are 41 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total patients in the hospital 388.

Three patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 38.

While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:

- Adherence to physical distancing.

- Avoid?close contact with others,?crowded places, and confined closed spaces where other people congregate.

- Wearing a face mask.

- Washing hands regularly
