Full Event Details/Description:

The Paint and Paddle Experience created at MIA is a combination of culture, creativity, and a discovery of nature all in one well-considered afternoon. Centered in the Museum of Islamic Art and MIA Park, the experience will be available on 19 December and 26 December 2025 and offers a refreshing offering to experience the art, waterfront and skyline of Doha.

This experience will be suitable to both residents and visitors, and it will not demand kayaking or painting experience before the visit, just curiosity and readiness to explore.

Start with Culture at the Museum of Islamic Art

 The tour starts at MIA Museum Entrance, then the participants are taken on a guided tour of the Museum of Islamic Art. It is in this session that key galleries are presented along with the cultural background and inspiration of the creative experience that will take place next.

The guided tour establishes the atmosphere, which gives the participants an opportunity to become familiar with the architecture and collections of the museum and only then go outside.

Kayaking through the Doha Corniche 

After the visit to the museum, the participants move to MIA Park to have a leisurely time kayaking along the Corniche waters. The section of this experience is serene paddling and picturesque of the skyline and iconic building of Doha.

Kayaking is also highly instructed and easy to navigate and is open to everyone.

Guided Painting Session by the Waterfront

This is followed by a paddling experience followed by a guided session of canvas painting in MIA Park. Based on the scenery, view of water, skyline, and architecture, the participants enjoy their own artworks in a welcoming environment step by step.

This segment is more creative and expressive than technical, which is appropriate to novice painters as well as amateur art lovers.
