Get a taste of the best late Romanticism symphonic masterpiece when the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra (QPO) performs the Symphony 8 by Bruckner in the hands of the conductor Marcus Bosch. The concert will be held on Saturday, 11 April 2026, starting at 7: 30 PM at the Katara Cultural Village, Opera House. With Anton Bruckner Symphony No. 8 in C minor (1890 version), the performance is bound to take the audience on an impressive trip through the expansive musical structure, dramatism and spirituality.
Large-scale but composed with astonishing clarity, Bruckner Eighth Symphony develops in extensive, majestic lines. The score is characterized by grandiose chorales of the brass, grandiose peaks and unexpected delicacies. Through the agitation of the first movement theme to the calmness of the Adagio movement the composer plays the tension with the solemn orchestral sound. The ending brings on a cohesion of the themes in the symphony to a glorious end, thus making the listening process a very immersive one.
All the tickets are to be bought online. None of the refunds or exchanges are allowed. Children are not allowed into the institution before the age of six. The seating starts 30 minutes before the performance. Any latecomers would only be seated during a suitable break and only permitted to enter the concert on the seats closest to the exit.
Venue Protocol and Patron Behavior
QPO representatives will also direct the guests to their specific seats. Phones should be switched off and one should not take flash photos or record videos. Food and beverages are not allowed in the concert hall, with exception of water. The Philharmonic has the right to eject anybody causing distraction in the performance and is not liable to personal property damage or injuries.

To get the relevant discount, valid student, staff, or disability identification needs to be presented at the Box Office before purchasing tickets. The dress code is Smart casual. Visitors who come in with clothes that are too informal such as shorts or beach clothes will not be served.
