Explore the cultural and historical North of Qatar Tour - 4 Hours, which will all take place in the period between 21 August 2025 and 31 August 2027, and at 09:00 AM and beyond in Al Shamal. Such a half-day excursion is a balanced heritage, art and coastal living beyond the capital.

Your trip starts with a pleasant pick-up at your place of stay in Doha in an air-conditioned car, where an English-speaking guide (who doubles as the driver) picks him or her up. On the way to the north, the scenery gradually changes and shows a more conservative part of the nation.

Among the earliest attractions is the beautiful fishing town of Al Khor with its rich maritime culture and tranquil water scenery. The tour then proceeds to the legendary Al Zubarah Fort which is the only UNESCO World Heritage site in Qatar. This historic military bastion is a significant landmark of both the history of trading and pearling in the 18th century, and the history of the country provides the visitors with the view of the past and spectacular desert landscape.

To give the trip a modern touch, you can also visit the stunning large scale installation of Shadows Travelling on the Sea of the Day by another internationally renowned artist Olafur Eliasson. This public art is displayed in the impressive desert country backdrop and is a combination of art, nature and perspective quite unlike the others.

The tour will involve bottled water, transport and pick and drop services in Doha. Food and entry fees to museums are not included, in case of any. The dressing code is modest, and the guest should wear clothes that cover knees and elbows.

Reservations have to be done 24 hours beforehand. Cancellations that take place 72 hours prior to departure are fully refundable whereas late cancellations and non-shows are not. The access of the site can change because of weather conditions or unexpected shutdowns.
