Mozart and Bartok will begin a grand evening of orchestra color at Katara Cultural Village Opera House on 23 May 2026 at 7:30 PM. Austin Chanu, with Concertmaster Joo Young Oh, introduces the programme with the Mozart sparkling The Marriage of Figaro Overture, full of wit, tempo and irresistible allure. The atmosphere is next corrected by the graceful Flute Concerto of Mozart, in which the soloist of the QPO is Aleksandr Haskin, and which presents the secondary elegance and the perfect expression. Subsequently, the dynamic Concerto orchestra of Bartok comes into the limelight, giving passionate rhythmic movements, sparkling colors of the orchestra, and captivating ending that presents the full strength of the orchestra. This specially selected show shifts between the classical clarity and the contemporary intensity and offers music lovers an unforgettable night.

Admission: 6 years and more only. Children below the age of 6 are not allowed.

Concert Guidelines

The purchase of tickets has to be carried out beforehand online. There is no money back or exchange option. The performance starts within 30 minutes. Notable delays will not be seated other than on a suitable break. Telephones should be turned off and no flash or videotaping should be done. One is not allowed to bring food and drinks into the concert hall (water is permissible). During the performance, it is only allowed to re-enter the building through seats around the exit.

Dress Code: Smart casual. Others are shorts and beachwear which are not allowed.

Objects in the programme and performers are changeable at will.
