On 5 June 2026, at 7: 30 PM, at the Katara Cultural Village Opera House, enjoy a wonderful evening of strong symphonic music as the Qatar Philharmonic Symphony orchestra performs the Piano Concerto No. 3 by Rachmaninoff. Cleveland International Piano Competition winner James Zijian Wei accompanies the orchestra under the baton of Elias Grandy to perform one of the most challenging and exhilarating concertos ever composed. The Piano Concerto No. 3 by Rachmaninoff is famous due to its technical brilliance and emotional nature which alternates between the close lyricism and the thunderous orchestral power in breathtaking manner.

After the break, the programme acquires a more light hearted and also equally fascinating twist in the form of Janackek The Cunning Little Vixen Suite- full of rustic dancing, lyrical warmth, and expressive appeal. The orchestra directed by concertmaster Joo Young Oh guides the audience to this contrasting and energetic musical journey to give the listeners a very diverse and rich sounding concert.

Admission: must be 6 years old or more. Children below 6 cannot be allowed.

Concert Guidelines
