Full Event Details/Description:  

Al Adaid Desert Challenge 2026 is back to its 8th edition on Friday, 6 February 2026, to offer endurance, grit and competition to the spectacular scenery of Sealine, Qatar. Organized by Qatar Cyclists in cooperation with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, this landmark desert sporting event keeps bringing in athletes who are competitive on challenge and accuracy.

The event began at 6.30 AM and has time checked courses with a limit of 600 participants, which means the professionally conducted and competitive racing atmosphere.

Race Categories & Start Times

Participants can choose from three demanding race formats:

  • MTB (34K): 6:30 AM
  • Duathlon (34K MTB & 6K Run): 6:30 AM
  • Trail Run:
    • 21.1K – 6:40 AM
    • 10K – 6:40 AM

What’s Included:

All registered respondents will be entitled to:

  • Water stations along the course.
  • Timed race bib- electronic chip.
  • Medical support
  • Course marshals
  • Public liability insurance
  • Specially designed finisher medal of all distances.
  • The Top 3 Male and Female winners in each of the Open (17 -39) and Masters (Over 40) categories will receive cash awards in:

    • 34K MTB
    • 21.1K Trail Run
    • 10K Trail Run
    • Duathlon

    Highlights of Participant Waiver

    Participants by registering state that:

    • The risk that comes with long distance running and cycling.
    • Health and proper training in order to compete.
    • Obedience to the decisions of the race officials.

    The participants will take all risks such as falls, weather conditions, and road hazards and will be willing to comply with all the rules in the race. Some products are banned, like skate boards, baby joggers, animals and personal music players.

    Registration is not refundable or transferable. In extraordinary situations, the event can be postponed or rescheduled. The participants also give their consent on event related media to be used without payment.
