267 Covid-19 cases and 249 recoveries reported in Qatar on Sept 9

Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today recorded 267 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 256 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 117,746.

Out of the 267 new cases, 252 are community cases and 15 from travellers returning from abroad.

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 120,846 and there are 2895 active cases under treatment. So far, 205 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar.

Ministry conducted 4163 tests in the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 672,099 tests. There are 44 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total patients in the hospital to 400.

Two patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 51.

All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.

While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:

- Adherence to physical distancing.
- Avoid?close contact with others,?crowded places, and confined closed spaces where other people congregate.
- Wearing a face mask.
- Washing hands regularly.
