On the occasion of International Women's Day, AFG College with the University of Aberdeen, a subsidiary of Al Faleh Educational Holding Q.P.S.C, successfully hosted its seventh annual conference under the theme “Accelerate Action”. The event was held under the distinguished patronage of H.E. Dr. Sheikha Aisha bint Faleh Al Thani, Chairperson and Founder of Al Faleh Educational Holding.
The annual event reflects AFG College’s unwavering commitment to social responsibility and community engagement, reinforcing its dedication to driving social progress and contributing to the nation’s overall development.
The conference was attended by H.E. Dr. Sheikha Aisha Bint Faleh Al Thani, H.E. Sheikha Anwar Bint Nawaf Al Thani, CEO of Al Faleh Educational Holding, H.E. Ms. Erika Bernhard, Ambassador of Austria to Qatar, H.E. Ms. Valérie Lusamba Kabeya, Ambassador of Congo to Qatar, H.E. Mr Duncan Hill OBE, Deputy Head of Mission of UK to Qatar along with distinguished guests from sectors including diplomacy, business, finance, education, and law.

The first panel, titled "Women in Diplomacy & NGOs: Driving Meaningful Change," featured distinguished speakers from the field, including H.E. Sheikha Alnawar Al Thani, Founder of Etaam, H.E. Ms. Valérie Lusamba Kabeya, Ambassador of Congo to Qatar; H.E. Ms. Erika Bernhard, Ambassador of Austria to Qatar; and Ms. Basma Tabaja, Head of Delegation for the International Committee of the Red Cross in Qatar.
The second panel, "Women in Law, Compliance & Finance: Navigating Power & Progress," highlighted prominent women discussing key topics. Speakers included Dr. Ghada M. Darwish Karbon, Founder and Managing Partner at Dr. Ghada M. Darwish Karbon Law Firm, Ms. Alanoud M. Al-Mosleh, Head of Policy at Invest Qatar, Ms. Maha AlSaadi, Regulatory Expert; and Ms. Fulya Plas, Chief Risk Officer at Lesha Bank.
Concluding the event, H.E. Sheikha Anwar Bint Nawaf Al Thani presented special awards to women who have made exceptional contributions to their fields and championed inclusivity through their inspiring efforts.
