As the Lunar New Year - “The Year of the Dragon”- starts on February 10, Shanghai Me - the highly acclaimed Pan-Asian restaurant in West Bay Doha- is hosting a special festive event to celebrate the occasion, in addition to unveiling an exclusive Chinese New Year menu that will be available for a limited time from February 7 to February 22.
Shanghai Me will come alive on February 10, starting at 8PM, with festive decorations and enchanting performances that will invoke the mystical spirit of the Far East including the traditional lion dance with three captivating shows lined up throughout the evening. Guests will receive red envelopes, some with special prizes enclosed, along with wishing cards to write their hopes and wishes, which they can then hang on the wishing trees scattered throughout the restaurant.
The Chinese New Year menu features mouthwatering delights such as; the Creamy Lobster Soup with Napa Cabbage, reminiscent of classic Chinese banquets, the symbolic Temari Dragon Roll, the Fried Roast Duck with Winter Truffle Sauce & Mini Baos, the Chinese Style Salmon Sashimi with Chili Vinegar Dressing, and the Wok Whole Lobster with Garden Sauce, that evokes a sense of old-world charm and opulence with its rich flavors.
To round off their dining experience, guests can savor the Longevity Seafood Crispy Noodles, followed by the sweetness of Shanghai Me's exquisite dessert, the White Peach Delight shaped just like a real peach with white chocolate mousse and peach puree filling.
Alongside the exclusive Chinese New Year menu, Shanghai Me offers a diverse selection from its regular a la carte menu, catering to a variety of tastes and preferences. Moreover, guests have the option to elevate their meal with signature cocktails like the Good Fortune Cocktail and Dragon Wishes Cocktail, or they can choose a refreshing mocktail version to complement the flavors perfectly.
