Doha, Qatar – 2 March 2022: Doha Festival City, Qatar's one and only choice for shopping, dining, and entertainment, is pleased to announce further expansion this year, with 4 new outlets that have already started welcoming visitors, and 6 more set to open their doors this month.

After an outstanding expansion last year, which saw the addition of more than 56 new stores, Doha Festival City further strengthens its leading position as a unique, global shopping and lifestyle destination offering visitors an impressive host of stores of more than 550 brands that cater to all tastes and age groups.

Earlier this year, the Mall opened O Bag, an Italian brand that has revolutionized the industry for years. O Bag is a dynamic, forward-thinking brand founded and built on the success of its eponymous modular and totally customizable bags made in XL Extralight®, an innovative ultra-lightweight material that has turned O bag products into true cult items. The brand’s product range extends from bags to watches, sunglasses to footwear and even a home line, which includes lamps and food storage containers created in collaboration with Guzzini.

The Mall has also welcomed Watsons, bringing over 200 brands from around the world to customers, across makeup, skincare, haircare and personal care. The new Watsons store spans near 3,000 square feet, featuring new zones including the "Natural and Clean Beauty" areas which showcase the brand's extensive range of sustainable products. The store also includes an open makeup area, enabling customers to try out different looks and play around with a wide range of the latest and trendiest cosmetics. Close to half of its products are exclusive to Watsons, including brands from the UK, France, Japan, and South Korea.

The latest jewel shop in the Mall’s jewelry lineup is Djula, a revolutionary jewelry brand with a visionary mentality and always thinking ahead of its time with its adventurous and delicate “art nouveau” style.

Lazordy, a leading name in the copper chandelier industry since its establishment in the El-Gamaleya area in Egypt in 1948 is the Doha Festival City’s new glittering star.

Festival City is set to also welcome new and exciting fashion brands this month, including Hera Extension, a brand that combines the expertise of a human hair products’ manufacturer with the efficiency of a hair factory and hair wholesaler aiming to be one global leading company in hair fashion. Furthermore, the Mall is opening its doors to Optifashion, an Italian eyewear retailer that has grown into one of the top brands in its niche, with partnerships with top luxury and fashion brands in the world offering the finest and widest eyewear selection.

Also opening soon will be Fifty One East offering Tudor Watches and Boucheron Jewelry among other luxury brands.

Additionally, the Mall will also welcome That’s Living Kids, the latest flagship children’s furniture store from the Russian That’s Living Group, an internationally recognized leader in home fashion.

Adding to its broad range of over 100 dining outlets, the Mall is also anticipating to welcome Yasmine Palace, one of the best luxury restaurants in Doha for fine dining specialized in Mediterranean cuisine and the sizzling Texas Chicken that delivers big, bold chicken flavors the Texas way.

“We are very pleased to introduce more distinctive brands and delightful dining options to our visitors, expanding Doha Festival City’s already extensive breadth of offerings. We look forward to continuing our growth trajectory, and shoppers can anticipate even more retail and dining outlets to open,” says, Robert Hall, Doha Festival City’s General Manager.

Doha Festival City opening hours are Saturday to Wednesday from 10am to 10 pm, and Thursday to Friday from 10am to 11pm. In line with the preventative measures set out by the authorities, Doha Festival City has introduced stringent health and safety measures throughout the mall for its staff and visitors. This includes a thorough Mall disinfection treatment on a weekly basis, robust cleaning, and sanitization operations during Mall trading hours, 127 hand sanitizing stations installed in the areas that have commonly touched surfaces.

At the entrance, visitors must show their green Ehteraz QR code, and should always wear a face mask. Physical distancing stickers in common queuing areas, such as ATM machines and banks were installed to help shoppers abide by the required physical distance guidelines.
