Doha Festival City, Qatar’s ultimate destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment, having recently revamped its brand positioning “It’s my Place, my Choice”, is celebrating Ramadan with a wide range of edutainment activities for children and adults alike.

On this blessed occasion, the mall is taking on a serene, festive ambiance, with messages reflecting the seven Islamic values highlighted during the month, including integrity, patience, charity and generosity amongst others, each featured with educational messaging available on a specialised booth. A dedicated children’s area will also be available at the mall’s Entertainment Node featuring an arts and crafts section for lantern and sword making, mosque coloring and greeting card making; a game section including Blackgammon, chess and a Giant Jenga game; and a storytelling section taking place 3 times daily at 7PM, 9PM and 11PM.

With every corner of the mall transformed into an educational opportunity during the Holy Month, Doha Festival City has also collaborated with Kahramaa to provide free to read educational books offering entertaining material and teachings on sustainability at the children’s area in entertainment node.

As part of the #FestivalCares CSR programme, the mall has also collaborated with Qatar Charity to provide a toy donation box, the donations in which will go to underprivileged kids, exemplifying the charity and generosity values of the month.

In keeping with the Ramadan tradition, the mall invites children from across Qatar for the Garangao celebration that happens on the middle evening of the month. This year the celebration comes with free face painting and henna, Garangao giveaways as well as fun parades and activities for children to enjoy.

Commenting on the occasion, Robert Hall, Doha Festival City’s General Manager, said: “We are delighted to celebrate this blessed month with Qatar’s community offering every member of the family exclusive experiences and enjoyable moments. We look forward to sharing this joyous occasion filled with reflection, generosity, and noble values with our visitors at our many activities designed for children and adults alike.”

"As part of our #FestivalCares Programme, we celebrate this month of giving, continuously striving to be at the forefront of giving back to the community and sharing in the true spirit of Ramadan,” he added.

The mall will also adjust its trading hours during Ramadan, allowing visitors to enjoy Ramadan festivities at the mall. Starting 23rd March, the Mall’s trading hours will be from 10 AM to 3 PM, and from 7PM to 12 AM. While the hypermarket will be open from 8AM to 12AM, and F&B outlets will serve Iftar until 12AM.
