Three months before the start of the event, Expo 2023 Doha continues to broaden its support from the leading Qatar-based companies. This time, one of the leading landowners, property developers and managers in Qatar, Private Engineering Office (PEO) has been named Expo’s strategic partner.
The partnership marks the commitment of both parties to make Al Bidda Park the hosting place of Expo 2023 Doha and turn it into a world-class destination that attracts visitors during and after the event. PEO’s support will be to ensure that Al Bidda park remains a green jewel and the lungs of the city after the event, leaving a strong and meaningful legacy for Qatar’s citizens and residents.
Mr. Mohammed Ali Alkhoori, Secretary General of Expo 2023 Doha, said: "We are delighted to welcome the Private Engineering Office on board as our strategic partner. Their expertise and support will be crucial as Al Bidda Park will be the hosting place and will become a truly remarkable destination where Expo 2023 Doha activities will take place. Together, we will create a legacy that will endure for generations to come."
PEO will play a vital role in providing the location, infrastructure, and the services available at the park, and in ensuring effective operations of these services during the event. PEO will also enrich the park’s picturesque environment and help create a lasting legacy for Qatar to reflect the State’s cultural heritage, commitment to sustainability, and technological advancements.
Mr. Nasser Rashid Al Nuaimi, PEO Managing Director, said: “We are looking forward to support Expo 2023 Doha, Qatar’s flagship event in 2023-2024 that reflects the dedication of the State of Qatar to improve the urban environment, make it greener and healthier. PEO will help operating Al Bidda Park since the start and throughout Expo 2023 Doha”. Mr. Al Nuaimi added that the park has “an underground parking lot with the capacity of 4500 cars, two nearby metro stations, pitches for various sports, and a playground for kids.”
Expo 2023 Doha is set to run between October ’23 – March ’24 in Al Bidda Park, and will be the first ever A1 horticultural exhibition held in the MENA region.
