MWC25 Doha, in partnership with Qatar’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, opens its doors tomorrow at a pivotal moment in the digital transformation of the Middle East and North Africa 

The GSMA, in partnership with Qatar’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), will welcome global leaders, innovations and policymakers to MWC25 Doha for a programme of collaboration and new partnerships, innovation and cutting-edge technology.

Under the esteemed patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and brought to Middle East and North Africa (MENA) by Qatar’s Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, MWC25 Doha will showcase how connectivity is transforming societies, industries and economies across this dynamic region.

Taking place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center on 25–26 November, the debut edition will convene a diverse group of people from across the globe, shared by a passion for digital transformation and aligning with the mission of the GSMA for connectivity to enable people, industry and society to thrive.

MWC Doha comes at a pivotal point in MENA’s digital transformation as the region strengthens its position as a dynamic hub for advanced connectivity, AI-powered technologies and digital leadership. Over 250 exhibitors and sponsors will showcase technologies representing MENA’s growing influence in global digitisation.

Across two packed days and the conference agenda built around the themes of AI Nexus, Intelligent Economies, and Connected Industries, nearly 300 thought leaders will share insights from keynote sessions and summits.

  • 4YFNThe world-renowned start-up platform arrives in the Middle East and North Africa for the first time. Over 100 global and regional start-ups will showcase innovation across fintech, deeptech, health tech and climate tech, led by a delegation of 40 Qatari start-ups supported by MCIT.
  • GSMA Mobile for Development (M4D): Highlighting its work to advance digital inclusion, climate resilience and financial access across emerging markets, M4D will showcase how mobile-enabled services are supporting communities and enabling progress aligned with national and regional digital ambitions.
  • GSMA Ministerial ProgrammeMinisters, regulators, and senior policymakers from around the world will gather in Doha to discuss digital governance, spectrum, mobile investment, and policy frameworks for next-generation networks.
  • GSMA Pavilion: Will host VR experiences with Khalifa University, while GSMA Open Gateway and Elmo will provide visitors an opportunity to remotely drive a car in the desert from a control pod using APIs. In other exciting experiential show floor opportunities, attendees can race against the time of an F1 driver on the Doha Lusail Circuit in one of several simulators, ahead of the Qatar Grand Prix. 
  • GSMA Digital Leaders ProgrammeThe GSMA Digital Leaders Programme will take place in the region for the first time, convening C-Suite leaders from technology, telecoms, enterprise, and government to examine the role of AI in digital infrastructure and sustainable growth.
  • Smart City Expo Doha 2025Smart City Expo Doha will explore how intelligent infrastructure, data and urban innovation are reshaping cities across the region.
  • Innovation showcases and country pavilions: Dedicated country pavilions representing Qatar, Korea, Türkiye and Palestine will showcase new national digital initiatives, including 32 projects, from 17 government entities, in the Qatar Pavilion, while the F1 showcase at the GSMA Pavilion allows attendees to test their skills on simulators using times from the Doha Lusail Circuit.
