Jamavar Doha, the celebrated pan-Indian culinary destination located at the iconic Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel, proudly announces being awarded a one-star rating at the Michelin Guide Doha ceremony held on December 12, 2024. Since its opening in 2021, Jamavar Doha has set a new benchmark for Indian fine dining in Qatar, blending traditional flavors with contemporary elegance. Under the guidance of Culinary Director Chef Surender Mohan, Head Chef Debdash Balaga at Jamavar Doha showcases the finest of India’s culinary heritage. Demonstrating a love of dishes from both the Royal kitchens of Northern India and the coastal cuisine from the Southern states, Jamavar Doha explores pan-Indian flavours using a range of authentic cooking techniques. The restaurant is part of the globally renowned Jamavar family, which includes Jamavar London, that was awarded its Michelin star in 2022 under Chef Surender Mohan’s leadership and the more recently opened Jamavar Dubai in August 2024.
