Jamavar Doha, the pan-Indian dining destination at the iconic Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel, is delighted to welcome back its Culinary Director and Michelin-starred Chef Surender Mohan for a special visit from September 28 to October 2, 2025. This limited-time exclusive gastronomic experience offers guests an opportunity to witness the artistry of one of India’s most celebrated chefs, whose culinary vision has shaped Jamavar’s acclaimed presence in London, Dubai, and Doha.

Throughout his visit, Chef Surender will bring his distinctive perspective to the Jamavar Doha kitchen, overseeing a refined showcase of signature creations that reflect his mastery of Indian cuisine. Known for his ability to balance authenticity with innovation, Chef Surender’s cooking is deeply rooted in the royal kitchens of India, yet elevated through modern technique and a global lens, a philosophy that helped earn Jamavar Doha its prestigious Michelin star.

The highlight of his return will be an exclusive Chef’s Tasting Menu, offered on October 1 and 2 only. Guests will be invited to experience a 5-course menu personally curated by Chef Surender, featuring elevated interpretations of regional Indian flavours, crafted with depth, precision, and artistic presentation. Each course is a celebration of storytelling through food, showcasing the richness and diversity of Indian culinary heritage.

The Chef’s Tasting Menu unfolds as a refined journey across India’s vibrant regions, reimagined through Chef Surender’s signature style. The experience begins with Paneer Stuffed Baby Kulchas & Oscietra Royale Caviar—a dish that bridges the familiar and the luxurious, where the soul of Indian street food meets the elegance of fine dining. It continues with the bold Southern flair of Meen Varuval, followed by the deep, slow-cooked richness of Lucknowi Bhuna Gosht, layered with warmth and spice. At its heart is the signature Leela’s Lobster Neeruli, a celebration of coastal flavours presented with regal finesse, accompanied by a spread of regional sides that speak to the generosity of Indian hospitality. For those opting for the vegetarian menu, dishes like Bikaneri Paneer Tikka, Chilgoza Malai Broccoli, and Gucchi Mutter Malai offer a vibrant, modern expression of seasonal Indian produce. The experience concludes with Chocolate Bounty, a rich and playful reinterpretation of a beloved classic, offering the perfect sweet ending to an evening of bold flavours and refined craftsmanship.

This exclusive five-course experience will be available on October 1 and 2, served during dinner from 6pm to 10pm. Priced at QAR 425 for the non-vegetarian menu and QAR 375 for the vegetarian menu, guests may also opt for an enhanced beverage pairing for an additional QAR 325

Guests are invited to celebrate this rare opportunity to dine under the culinary direction of Chef Surender Mohan and explore the richness of India’s evolving gastronomy. Following this exclusive experience, Jamavar Doha will unveil its Winter Menu on October 11, 2025, continuing the restaurant’s tradition of innovation and storytelling through flavour with a new season of thoughtfully crafted dishes.
