Mondrian Doha, managed by leading international lifestyle hospitality group, sbe, is excited to announce winning three highly-acclaimed awards across its culinary emporium by the prestigious Qatar-based FACT Dining Awards.

Each year, FACT invites Doha’s top restaurants to take part in its annual celebration of Qatar’s booming dining scene. FACT’s team of experts selects the best outlets to be nominated in a wide range of categories, reflecting the diversity of Qatar’s culinary offering. Winners are determined in an open online voting process.

Morimoto, Qatar’s iconic Japanese restaurant led by the award-winning chef Timur Fazilov, was crowned ‘Favorite Overall Restaurant in Doha’ in recognition for its unique culinary offering and cutting-edge design.

Hudson Tavern, the beloved spot of sports and burger lovers, was recognized as the ‘Best Pub Restaurant in Doha’. Since the opening of Mondrian Doha in 2017, Hudson Tavern has become a must-visit destination thanks to its classical yet diverse offering of American and a wide selection of carefully crafted sips, as well as its relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

World-acclaimed CUT by Wolfgang Puck was awarded the ‘Best Friday Brunch in Doha’. With its recently revamped culinary concept and a diverse menu boasting the most tender meat, a variety of vegetarian options and locally sourced products, CUT has proved once again its position as a top destination for Doha foodies.

Vasileios Oikonomopoulos, General Manager of Mondrian Doha, said: “We are extremely humbled by the overwhelming support from FACT readers and the wider Doha community who have once again proved Mondrian Doha as a top dining destination. This acknowledgement offers us even more enthusiasm to bring cutting-edge concepts to Doha and to continuously elevate our guests’ experiences”.

Mikel Ibrahim, VP Sales & Marketing, Mondrian Doha, added: “The Fact Dining Awards is considered the pinnacle for the food and beverage industry in Doha. After only four years of our existence in Doha, we are incredibly proud and honoured to be recognized for our F&B exceptional outlets. We would like to thank each and every reader for voting for us, as well as the organizers of FACT Dining Awards who encourage fair competition, and significantly contribute to elevating Qatar’s dining scene to new heights”.

FACT publisher, Chirine Halabi enthused over the successful ceremony: “This year’s awards were absolutely memorable in their own unique way. It was an amazing event, and we happily hosted our partners, nominees and friends in a beautiful and original manner and were honoured to commemorate and reward the best of the best among Qatar’s culinary masters. We at FACT are incredibly grateful to all our sponsors, the dining sector, and of course our readers and voters, and we look forward to being able to host our famous parties again before too long.”

This news comes on the heels of Accor's latest phase of expansion and its planned joint venture with Ennismore, which will see the creation of one of the world's largest and fastest growing lifestyle operators, set to include Mondrian Hotels.
