Porsche Centre Doha found a unique way to bring the passionate Porsche community of Doha together over three weeks with Karak Tea and a series of weekly podcasts focusing on different aspects of Porsche’s rich history
Doha. Porsche Centre Doha recently wrapped a three week festival that brought together two of the oldest traditions known to human-kind, stories and a great cup of Karak Tea.
Klassics & Karak was three weeks of engaging podcasts that celebrated Porsche’s heritage and innovation over the decades with each week focusing on a specific area of Porsche’s vibrant history.
“Klassics & Karak was more than an event; it was a journey through Porsche’s timeless legacy and bold future. By blending physical experiences with digital storytelling, we gave our community in Qatar a platform to celebrate the brand’s innovation in a new way,” said Ahed Dawood, Brand Manager at Porsche Centre Doha.
Held every Saturday at the Porsche Doha showroom, the activation combined a special vehicle display with a dedicated digital series of podcasts and Instagram reels that highlighted iconic models from Porsche’s history.
Story-telling is the original form of entertainment and education which Porsche Centre Doha brought into the digital age with weekly podcasts mixed with a series of social media reels. The first week introduced the origins of Porsche as a sports car manufacturer from the very first 356 model, through to the iconic, early air-cooled 911 range and culminated with the legendary and technical-pioneer of the 1980’s supercar, the 959.
As the Karak flowed, the second week of podcasting turned to the era of Supercars that came after the 959 with its siblings, the revolutionary, mid-engined, V10-powered Carrera GT of the early 2000’s, its successor the 918 Spyder which introduced hybrid technology to the world of what became known as Hypercars and eventually the forward-looking Mission X which will continue this lineage into the next generation.
Finally, the third and final week of Klassics & Karak centred on Porsche’s transaxle models with an emphasis on the Cayenne’s rally pedigree and the adventurous spirit of the 911 Dakar. This podcast delved into the off-roading side of Porsche that has long been appreciated in the Middle Eastin in both competition form and as a weekend leisure activity.
“The response from our enthusiasts was incredible. From the podcasts to the Saturday gatherings, guests truly engaged with Porsche’s history and vision. It was a reminder that Porsche is not just about performance, it’s about passion, community and connection,” said Asia Al Shishany, Marketing Manager at Porsche Centre Doha.
Owners and enthusiasts alike soaked in the opportunity to explore Porsche in a uniquely Qatari way over Karak Tea as they indulged in interactive conversations, enjoyed exclusive viewings and connected with experts from Porsche in a relaxed, fully immersive, weekend atmosphere.
