As part of its national efforts to accelerate responsible AI deployment, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) in the State of Qatar has reaffirmed the progress of its strategic partnership with Scale AI. This five-year collaboration, launched during Web Summit Qatar 2025, aims to co-develop over 50 AI-powered use cases tailored to government services, reinforcing Qatar’s role as a regional leader in ethical and effective AI adoption.

The current phase of the partnership focuses on embedding artificial intelligence in several high-impact sectors. In the construction domain, AI systems are being utilized to enhance safety compliance, monitor quality, and streamline performance tracking. Municipal services are seeing advancements through automation of licensing processes and public service workflows.

In the cultural and heritage space, generative AI tools are helping personalize museum experiences and improve digital content management. The judicial sector is deploying AI to assist in legal document classification and case analytics. Meanwhile, the tourism sector is harnessing intelligent technologies to deliver personalized recommendations and elevate the visitor journey across Qatar’s destinations.

To support this transformative initiative, a high-level Qatari delegation recently completed a visit to the United States, engaging with prominent AI research institutions, innovation centers, and technology partners. The visit served to track progress on existing use cases, explore global best practices in AI governance and model validation, and identify strategies for localizing technical expertise. It also emphasized the importance of capacity development and cross-border knowledge sharing to support long-term digital sustainability.

This collaboration directly supports the objectives of Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030 and reflects the country’s commitment to building a robust, inclusive, and innovation-driven digital future. Through strategic partnerships and human-centered implementation of AI, MCIT continues to pioneer solutions that serve both government performance and public value.
