Visa, a global leader in digital payments, today announced the appointment of Luca Bianconi as Vice President and Country Manager for Qatar, based in Doha. The appointment reflects continued investment in Qatar and its commitment to strengthening local leadership to support the growth of digital commerce in the country.

As Vice President and Country Manager, Luca will be responsible for leading Visa’s business in Qatar, working closely with local clients, regulators, and ecosystem stakeholders to advance digital payments, deepen collaboration, and support the country’s evolving payments landscape.

Luca joins Visa from Accenture, where he spent nearly a decade as a Managing Director, leading the Financial Services practice across the Middle East, Africa and Turkey, and most recently serving as Global Head of Financial Services Strategy for Capital Markets. Prior to Accenture, he spent almost ten years at Bain & Company as an Associate Partner, advising leading banks and financial institutions across Europe, the Middle East and Russia.
