Crowne Plaza Doha West Bay has today announced that its colleagues have taken part in a series of activities during the month of September as part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ annual Giving for Good month – a whole month dedicated to making a positive difference to local communities and celebrating the efforts of IHG Hotels and Resorts colleagues.


Since its launch in 2018, Giving for Good month has seen IHG colleagues provide more than 300,000 acts of kindness in our communities around the world and it is an important part of IHG’s Journey to Tomorrow 2030 action plan, which includes a commitment to improving the lives of 30 million people in communities around the world.


The hotel team members took part in the Cupcakes For Good activity and collectively helped raise funds which was used to donate pet food to the 2nd Chance Rescue Animal Shelter, which they also visited and spent their time taking care of the pet animals. A total of 21 hotel team members also volunteered to donate their blood and help save lives during the Blood Donation Drive held at the hotel in partnership with Hamad Medical Corporation. Aside from this, the hotel organized a Clothes Donation Drive throughout the whole month of September. The collected clothes and shoes will be donated to Qatar Charity.
 

Supporting these organizations, the volunteering will help make a positive difference by raising awareness about the causes. Aligned with IHG’s purpose of providing True Hospitality for Good, the colleagues were proud to dedicate their time to doing good for others and helping their community.
