From a new Parisian jazz bar and an innovative farm-to-table BBQ pop up to reimagined Dubai institutions and signature concepts launched overseas, Jumeirah Group announces major developments to culinary portfolio over the next three months

Jumeirah Group, the global luxury hospitality company and a member of Dubai Holding, has revealed that it will significantly expand its culinary offering with 13 new and re-imagined concepts opening over the next three months.

Transforming its stunning coastline into a vibrant culinary hotspot, the wealth of new and enhanced dining experiences will cater for all tastes and occasions; from a Parisian jazz bar to an innovative farm-to-table BBQ pop up, a luxe cocktail bar to a modern brasserie and grill – and everything in between. Furthermore, The Hide, Al Nafoorah, Zheng He’s, and other Dubai institutions will all be revamped, while Shimmers and Kayto – two of Jumeirah Group’s most popular signature dining experiences – will make their international debut in the Maldives.

The announcement comes hot on the heels of a series of successful launches over the last 18 months, including chic mirrored restaurant and beach club SAL and glamourous Mediterranean restaurant concept French Riviera. It also adds to the Group’s growing portfolio of 85 standalone restaurants and bars around the world.

Mr. Jose Silva, Chief Executive Officer of Jumeirah Group, said: “Jumeirah Group’s strategic positioning puts food and beverage as a core pillar of the brand and its strongest differentiator. Our portfolio of new and enhanced culinary experiences, all of which are set to launch around Expo 2020 when the world’s spotlight is firmly on Dubai, will provide guests, residents and visitors even more choice and add to the incredible collection of restaurants and bars in the city. It will also support the UAE vision towards the next 50 and bolster our own international development, with two of our most successful concepts launching overseas. We are immensely proud of our culinary portfolio and look forward to welcoming everyone for a delicious taste of Jumeirah – personalised dining experiences within exquisite spaces.”

With exceptional dining a core focus for Jumeirah Group and central to its expansion, its newest address Jumeirah Maldives, an all-villa resort which opens its doors on 1st October, will infuse island life with exquisite Mediterranean and Nikkei flavours at the award-winning Shimmers and Kayto for a truly memorable stay.

In Dubai, Jumeirah Al Qasr will become a playground of culinary discovery with the biggest transformation of all. The Hide will reopen with an improved offer and fresh new vintage look while new Parisian concept Bar Buci will launch with a jazz vibe and re-envisioned classic cocktails. Stunning Mediterranean concept French Riviera will extend to include La Plage, an exquisite deck on the beach, while an exciting new iteration of Dubai institution Al Nafoorah will also open. The hotel’s culinary renaissance follows the resounding success of two of its signature restaurants. Pierchic, its stunning waterside venue underwent a refurbishment and repositioning to become one of the best Italian spots in the city while Pai Thai, the authentic Asian destination within the hotel’s waterways, was also reimagined.

The first new concept to open will be Bastion, a modern brasserie and grill that will take the place of La Parilla at Dubai’s favourite family resort Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Located on the 25th floor, it will serve simple yet refined fare accompanied by picturesque views of the Arabian Gulf and the stunning Burj Al Arab Jumeirah. There will also be a new casual luxe cocktail bar, Floor 24 – destined to be the best rooftop spot in Dubai thanks to its nautical interiors that pay homage to the hotel’s ocean-inspired architecture and panoramic views of the city below.

Located in the heart of Madinat Jumeirah, Jumeirah Mina A’Salam will reopen two of its award-winning restaurants with a fresh new look and feel: Zheng He’s reimagined will celebrate the best of traditional Oriental / Chinese flavours complete with tableside drama and authentic selection of carefully handcrafted Dim Sum. Building on its success as one of the best beach restaurants in the city, the iconic alfresco venue Shimmers will return with an extended deck to cater for its growing popularity and serve even more guests. Diners can also discover Bahri, an exotic cocktail lounge inspired by the enduring romance of the silk route with decadent interiors and spice laden menus.

Premium pan-Asian restaurant Junsui at the iconic Burj Al Arab Jumeirah will also return with fresh interiors while the glittering nightspot Gold on 27 will get a new name and transform into a beverage apothecary headed by acclaimed mixologists. Al Mahara, set against the backdrop of the mesmerising floor-to-ceiling tropical reef aquarium, will also be reinvented as a decadent ‘fish club’ featuring best-in-class seafood and mixology.

Last but not least, situated in the heart of Souk Madinat Jumeirah will be a pop-up collaboration with the world’s first Arab pit master and renowned Dubai culinary pioneer, Hattem Mattar.

With a total of 85 standalone restaurants globally across 24 properties and beyond, each with the highest calibre of chefs and delivered with Jumeirah’s world-renowned service, the Jumeirah Restaurants offering gives even more choice for Jumeirah guests and loyalty partners, visitors and residents. A large selection of brands are included in half board hotel packages so anyone staying at Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts can discover an array of dining establishments not only within the properties but also at key locations in Dubai as part of their stay.
