Doha Festival City, Qatar's one and only choice for shopping, dining and entertainment, has distributed hundreds of boxes containing Ramadan food essentials to the working community in Qatar.

In collaboration with Qatar Charity, Doha Festival City donated 500 boxes to workers living in Doha’s industrial area. The Ramadan donations boxes contained food essentials every household needs during the holy month of Ramadan, including rice, oil, lentils, sugar, dates, juices and tea.

As part of the mall’s commitment to caring for the community around them, the boxes were distributed with the support of Qatar charity employees and volunteers.

Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Robert Hall, General Manager of Doha Festival City, said: “Doha Festival City is always committed to providing support and care to our community. Now more than ever, with the impact of the Coronavirus outbreak and during the holy month of Ramadan, a sense of unity is so important. We are grateful to Qatar Charity for their collaboration with us on this worthy cause. We hope that through this initiative, we can positively impact the lives of those affected right now.”

Qatar Charity has appreciated this generous gesture from Doha Festival City, especially in this Ramadan when people across the globe are facing a serious threat to humanity. It also thanked the Doha Festival City management for the support, which would contribute to Qatar Charity's efforts aimed at curbing the spread of the coronavirus and reducing infections, urging other companies and organizations to support the initiative and meet the needs of the workers and low-income families in the blessed month of Ramadan.
