The mini football tournament conducted by McDonald’s Qatar on the National Sport Day at their celebrated Al Sadd branch saw hundreds of kids, along with their families, flock to a specially-made bouncy makeshift playfield and compete with great sporting spirit.
The passion for sport, and the eagerness of every individual young and old alike to engage in one such activity was witnessed in a big way as kids were egged on by families and patrons to excel in scoring goals and in return win prizes.
The evening of the National Sport Day became a great meeting and melting pot for many as children painted their faces with pictures of their favourite football heroes before displaying their footballing skills.
While the tiny tots took part in colouring and various other activities, kids and teens were focused on excelling in football. The families meanwhile enjoyed the food, fresh yoghurt smoothies, and Apple, Orange and Guava juices on the occasion.
“It was an engaging and lovely family outing for all of us. We all had so much fun together. There were so many activities even for us as parents to engage in,” said a sporting enthusiast who was present throughout the event held in the evening.
“McDonald’s makes every occasion a memorable one and this was an exciting event,” commented one mother.
Several prizes were given to those excelling in the mini football tournament and also to those who took part in other games held on the occasion.
Speaking of the occasion and the event, Ghada Kamal, Marketing Manager of McDonald’s Qatar said, “The event was held to promote an active lifestyle for the population of Qatar on the National Sport Day. While McDonald’s Qatar is committed to such events and to our beloved patrons, the aim was to bring out the sporting spirit and passion of all. We are glad and proud of people’s association on such a meaningful day.
“We would like also to thank all those who joined us on the occasion. We shall strive to continue serving all our customers with the same sporting spirit in the future too,” she added.
