Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC), a member of Qatar Foundation, recognized the achievements of the students who participated in the Careers Competition at the closing ceremony for its second iteration at Multaqa in Education City.

Aimed at primary, preparatory, and high school students in Qatar, the competition was designed to increase awareness of career guidance and to give students the opportunity to explore their career ambitions at an early age.

Through the competition, students gained a better understanding of the various career paths available to them, and were encouraged to reflect on their professional aspirations. The competition was also a platform for students to showcase their skills and creativity, and to further develop their teamwork and other soft skills. In addition, the competition also targeted career counselors and teachers who participated in the game design category to assist them in developing interactive tools and resources to enhance students' understanding of career development and its necessity.

The competition was divided into three categories – writing and drawing for students, and game design for teachers and school specialists – and saw over 250 students and teachers from schools across the state taking part. A panel of QCDC representatives and experts in each competition category evaluated the submissions, and the winners from each school level in each category were announced at the closing ceremony.

Reflecting on the successful conclusion of the Careers Competition, Abdulla Al-Mansoori, Director of QCDC, said: "We are honored to celebrate today the fruit of our students' efforts as a tribute to their hard work. We designed the competition to help students of all academic levels gain a better understanding of the various career paths available to them, and to encourage them to think about and plan for their future careers from an early age, making it easier for them to achieve their future aspirations."

"We believe that inspiring the youth to think about their future careers is of the utmost importance, as they are the future workforce of Qatar, and it is their responsibility to ensure the success of sustainable social and economic development in the future. Therefore, we have organized this ceremony not only to congratulate and honor their efforts, but also to motivate them to continue on this path and to pursue their professional ambitions and work towards achieving them."

The competition is part of QCDC's commitment to providing students with the necessary resources and guidance to plan for their optimal professional future and contribute to the sustainable development of Qatar's economy and society. This ongoing process involves exploring diverse career options, acquiring knowledge and skills, and developing professional networks, all of which are crucial factors in personal success and achieving one's professional aspirations.
