Celebrating the return of the holy month of Ramadan, Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), Qatar’s leading digital bank, has announced the launch of #TakeTheOpportunity, a socially responsible led initiative aimed at enhancing engagement with its customers and encouraging the local community to adopt positive habits and take the opportunity to start a change during this special month.
The initiative, launched under the tagline #TakeTheOpportunity, features the unveiling of TV Commercials reiterating the opportunity that the month of Ramadan presents to adopt good habits and new resolutions for both the body and soul, as well as urging its customers and the community in Qatar to never say ‘no’ to an opportunity. The focus of this initiative was on a healthier lifestyle and on being more positive at work.
In addition, QIB launched a series of weekly competitions on its social media platforms, which includes trivia questions for followers, to test their knowledge on QIB’s products and services and offer them a chance to win prizes. Additionally, Ramadan tips and Instagram polls are posted to encourage the community to take Ramadan as an opportunity to start good habits.
QIB has also brought its employees and executive management together for its annual Ghabga, a regular feature on the bank’s Ramadan calendar to celebrate Ramadan traditions and strengthen relations between employees. The evening saw a number of activities, including interactive Q&A session with the attendees and competitions followed by the distribution of various gifts.

Enhancing its offering to its customers this Ramadan, QIB also recently announced two campaigns providing additional benefits to customers. The first offer is its annual Ramadan Auto Finance offer for new and existing customers seeking to purchase regular, electric or hybrid cars. The offer allows customers to avail attractive profit rates and other benefits during the holy month of Ramadan with fully Shari’a-compliant finance packages. The second offer is a unique Ramadan spending campaign for its credit and charge cardholders available until the 20th of April. The campaign will offer customers double rewards on all their local and international spends at supermarkets such as Al Meera, Lulu, Carrefour, Monoprix using their credit cards and charge cards, as well as the bank’s co-branded cards with Qatar Airways.
